I loved the game and the characters and the OST and everything, oops...
but yeah the FFXIV ost is gonna be bomb ;_; check out this guy's cover of the boss theme, so good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zR3GdK8j-wYI have the orchestrated "Harder Better Faster Stronger", I'm crazy about it!! The only thing that bothers me is the very end, there's this weird jarring part, but otherwise I have it on repeat on my ipod all the time >_>
Love love love the chrono cross OST as well, I used to lie in bed with my headphones on and listen to "Another Guldove" before I fell asleep, hahah.

Hahaha sorry. XIII didn't go over well for me, but you're right, there was some decent music in it. And I loved Fang so much, if the game had just been 100% Fang it would've been okay by me, she was like a Square-Enix version of Xena.
Eeee I can't tell you how many times I re-watched the intro movie to Chrono Cross just to listen to "Time's Scar" over and over ugggh that song.
Well, I guess I'll forgive you Mass Effect if you forgive me FFXIII, heh.

Naw, in all seriousness I understand why people didn't like XIII. And you're right, Fang is EXCELLENT... I can't actually choose a favorite character but she's definitely up there as far as FF ladies go. <3
oh my gosh, back in the day I had a really shitty download of the Chrono Cross opening and I'd watch it all the time. It still gives me the shivers! <3

I liked "That's Alright" and "The Lightning Strike," but I have to be honest in that the only reason I liked the "The Lightning Strike" was its use of the 8 pointed star in the video... I'm a sucker for imagery traditionally associated with me. Call me vain if you want, because you're right in this case.

it is so excellent! I played the game really actively up until riiiight after fighting titan....then things got super busy for a while and i dropped it >< i really need to dive back in there~

Oh my gosh I really liked the Laura Mvula song. Just added her to my Spotify stuff.
Lightning Strike was pretty! I don't think it's anything I'd listen to super-often, I've always found the Snow Patrol guy's voice doesn't sit totally well with me (I'm really picky about male vocalists' voices I have no idea why).
Unngh I love Final Fantasy music (generally side-eye at XIII) and particularly their chanting-choir pieces. HOLY GOD this one is epic. <3

Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" and A-ha's "Take On Me" arranged for orchestra.
Chrono Cross OST: Dream of Shore Near Another World. The game was a bit of a mess but Chrono Cross had an amazing OST.
Oldschool: Bush, "Letting the Cables Sleep". Pretty down-tempo for Bush, much more ballad-y than most of their stuff, but something really heartwrenching about it to me.
Faunts, "Das Malefitz" (Ending theme from Mass Effect 3). Awesome instrumental song all by itself but also I will never be over Mass Effect ever.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, "Maps". Discovered this one through one of the Rock Band games and I just adore this son.
