Thinking about saving up for a Cintiq... by xTaintedRedx

I feel like I would be more willing to draw if I had a new computer. I've had my laptop for about 4 years now and I am starting to see that it is starting to age. It's becoming progressively slower. I clean it, take care of it, everything, but I think it;s just time for a change.

So for anyone who has a Cintiq, what do you think? I've used :linkiceman:'s before and it was great. I just dunno if I can spend that kind of money. Maybe it's worth it? I'm thinking so.

Id say only if you can justify 2000 dollars on a tablet, most of the ones ive seen were purchased on company money

My husband Jaxen has a Cintiq 13HD, he only paid $1000 for it brand new and it's fucking awesome. :D

Thing is I want it to replace my computer. Can it connect to the internet wirelessly?

It's just a drawing tablet, it needs to be hooked up to a computer.

I'd shop around a bit. I know there are a lot of convertible laptops out there now that are equally good for drawing on at like half the price with twice the features. I can't remember any names/models but I was looking for myself not too long ago & found a used one people were raving about for like $200 loaded with a bunch of art programs. Just start searching things on ebay like "wacom compatible" or "art tablet" & things will come up, but it takes some digging. I've also figured out that asking for something like this in best buy is %100 useless.
