Yes. Best example is my Grandpa, he had a brain clot and needed surgery. Everyone from the Doctors to some of us in family thought he wouldn't make it (i honestly didn't believe it). But when I saw him holding my Grandma's hand, I knew he wouldn't leave her no matter what. Sur enough, he pulled through with the operation and he's still alive and looking after Grandma. That's love people!

I don't think it's overly important - it really comes down to personal preference.

I can be clingy (manly because I wouldn't want too see my girl harmed and too make sure she's alright); though I try not to be overwhelming or "overly clingly".

No I think it's stupid. If someone broke your heart, don't let them get to you. In the end you are better off.
