I am a designer/scripter on a popular video game franchise. (Not going to go into anymore detail than that, sorry!)
What do you like about yourself?
I try to stay positive most of the time, I am creative, I am hard working, and I am passionate about my job and my art.
What do you dislike about yourself?
Anxiety, some other personal mental issues, some personal physical issues... also need to lose weight, lack of drive to.. do that. Insomnia.. eh.. things I don't exactly talk about.
What did your friends notice about you when they first met you?
Uh... eye bags? I honestly don't know.
What is your belief/religion if you believe in anything at all?
Atheist, but I don't go shoving it into people's faces. I am just skeptical as all fuck and I over-analyze everything. I also went to a Catholic highschool and was raised Catholic.. which.. didn't help tbh. I like to hope that ghosts exist though because that would be cool. I also think reincarnation is pretty badass and Buddhists are awesome but I wouldn't call myself a buddhist because I don't practice it. I think religion is fascinating though and I know a lot about various religions!
Do you drink?
Occasionally but not much.
Do you smoke?
Nah... I've smoked a Hookah with friends on occasion but it's very very rare.
What are your major fears?
UHM EVERYTHING??? nah I'd rather not get into this. I have fear/anxiety issues. I am working on fixing that though. I'd also rather not share any "main" ones with you guys because no offense but people like to USE THAT against me.
Do you have any dreams or goals?
Become permanent at my job, which is in progress right now! Get a house one day?? Finally get married?? I dunno... I used to dream about doing art for video games but I have kind of given up on that somewhat? Keeping it as a hobby seems like a good plan. I do like giving the concept artists here helpful suggestions though. 8)
Have you ever had a crush or an ex?
Yes.
Who's your best buddy?
My fiance (yes we are also REALLY GOOD PALS, 13 years, man), Scribbles (practically my sister), Ksi, Erik, and Luper are pretty much my "bests". If I haven't seen them or talked to them in a month, THERE IS A PROBLEM. There is a ton of other people I could list here too... Definitely gotta mention my cousin Sam here too because I miss him and every time we see each other we could probably talk until we remember we need to do certain things to stay alive like.. sleep, and eat.
What's your favorite dish?
OH JEEZ.. I am super passionate about food ok? I LOVE SO MANY THINGS. I am just gonna say LOADED BAKED POTATO here though because everyone knows this is one of mine.. but raw tuna and BEEF is like.. really awesome too...and mashed potatoes...and bacon..and.. like all seafood.. ok ok ok...

TEA. 8D okay that is rude because it covers like.. all teas. I guess Taro Boba Tea, Hot Earl Grey as a latter, Chai Lattes, and Lychee Black Tea would be some TOP ones.

Red, I also really love orange, yellow/gold, and ranges of blue though. :E

LIGHTNING.

hmm.... Scott Pilgrim, RDJ Sherlock Holmes movies, Ratatouille, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
What's your least favorite food?
Dry white cake... ew. Yes I am weird. I gag on that shit. :S I also don't really like jello for some reason? and zucchini because I ate too much of it as a kid.
What's the last meal you want before you die?
My mom's twice baked potatoes and those freaking maui onions she bakes in the oven holy crap.. also her mashed potatoes and gravy, crispy pork belly, hamachi sashimi, lobster bacon mac and cheese, and wagyu beef from Morimoto's... maybe some BBQ pork fried rice too. I think I would die of a heart attack.
What do you drive and what would you really like to drive?
Navy "TARDIS Blue" 2009 Honda Fit... an actual TARDIS???? hahahhaha
What is your most disliked bug?
When the game crashes? (hahaaaaaaaaaa. bad joke.)
What pet peeves do you dislike the most?
This question is worded oddly.. hmm.. People who don't work hard or have 0 passion for their work. Broken promises. People who give their ambitions 0 chances and put themselves down constantly (you are better than that!!!!!!!!) Artists who steal your money and run off?!??! lol.. uh.. Digitigrade animals that shouldn't be digitigrade and are CLEARLY platigrade. (like bears and red pandas.) Animals with dog paws that SHOULDN'T HAVE THEM. (like rabbits, kangaroos, and red pandas.. again.) KANGAROOS THAT LOOK LIKE DOGS... okay I have a lot of animal anatomy pet peeves. People who advise AGAINST using photo/life reference. (wtff????)
What do you dislike in life?
MENTAL ISSUES... and physical illness. >8( NOT COOL.

Haha, a lot of people do that putting themselves down thing, I know I am guilty of it occasionally myself, I just hate seeing my friends who are super talented (way over my head) goin' nowhere with their talents though!
What I meant with the reference thing was like.. if you have never drawn an specific animal, look at a real picture of it... and not one, but tons! Not for drawing realistically, just for drawing it accurately cartoony or otherwise! Exaggerate the prominent features, don't just go off what you have seen other people already do (or even what you have previously already done.) No fun in that! (And you risk drawing everything like a dog or whatever haha.)
I always look at ref even if I have drawn things a billion times. I actually have fun doing it and nerd out on how cool every living being on this planet is. What I hate is when people say using reference is BAD, it is NOT BAD! There is nothing "wrong" with using reference. xD
When I drew that skydiving giant panda I think I nerded out for about 1/2 hour on twitter about how cool panda (and red panda) wrist bones are even though I made that part of the hand more humanoid. XD I also really enjoy learning things, especially about stuff I like so I could look up cool facts about animals all day. :P

I think I know what you mean, haha. xD I do have a few pictures of real squirrels I suppose I could use if I ever want to try drawing my own character…
I think most of the whole "exercise" mentality comes from me expecting myself to be able to draw like an artist who's been doing it for the better part of their lives, and I know that takes tons of practice, so… :P
Also, I definitely have a specific style in mind, so I tend to look at images in similar styles and think about how my character might look in them… o3o;
Oh, and I totally share that pet peeve of non-canid furry characters looking canine because that's what the artist is used to drawing. xP
In any case, thanks for the reply! I'll try to keep what you said in mind. ^.^

Yeah. I have been drawing nonstop pretty much since I was preschool age. I took outside art classes all the way through middle school etc., extra art classes in highschool as well at advance ones during highschool and summer programs, and went to college and majored in art. x.x I don't go 1 day without drawing normally! I like trying to expand my horizons constantly and draw in as many styles as I can enjoy and "consume". I constantly challenge myself to try new things style-wise. I am still not and probably never will be where I "want" to be but that's just part of being an artist.

i like your dream about being video game art designer. i get starry eyed when you talk about your job cos it's like youre in a stage before you're a character designer for a new game franchise!!! it could happen!!!!!!!

Yeah! When I was little they were just BLUE. They're technically just dis-pigmented now so they reflect back light in... random colors.... usually greenish though.
Yeah, I think it's so great we randomly met through SL AND YOU SOMEHOW SAW THAT.. It's like we were meant to be friends! XD
Ah man, I don't know if it'll ever happen. At least I get to give feedback here!! and hang out with the character artists all day hurrhurr.
Yeah I don't like much cake. I like the butter cake at CAPK though (it's warm.. and buttery) and TRES LECHES CAKE and cheese cake... frosting is also super gross to me too. I even dislike chocolate cake... bleh. Angel food ew.. yeah.. all gross to me.

I tend to fit this description to a tee...wish I could art, but I have like, zero confidence in my own abilities. xD
I'm constantly afraid of people who preach it like it's some kind of absolute requirement... xD ...like seriously, I know it's completely irrational, but I sometimes feel like I'm being told that I have to do like, a certain number of realistic/unaltered "life drawings" (or at least, doing it more than I really want to) before I can be considered "ready" to start drawing cartoons or something... ó3ò I know, i know, completely oddball and irrational, but I tend to trea this kind of stuff with a formal schooling mentality anymore… :<
…any advice to maybe help it not feel that way? xD
