Everybody loves getting comments. Communication is what makes a community flourish! Comments can begin friendships and business opportunities!
Everyone is arriving and excited to start watching new artists and to put their work out there for eyes who might not have had the chance to see it before (thank you nifty tag system!) so I thought, wouldn't it be nice if everybody tried to leave at least five comments a day on something around the site?
Things you can comment on:
- Artwork
- Writing
- Music
- Shout Pages (Why not leave somebody a nice comment on their work instead of thanking them for the fav or watch they just gave you? It doesn't have to be a beautifully written paragraph, just something nice for them to come home to!)
- Journal Entries
I LOVE watching the front page on this site. There's nearly a constant stream of new things to see and you can browse by tag and category.
Like this idea? Feel free to copy and paste it into your own journal to spread the word or simply start a trend by doing 5 a Day! LIKE SANTA but not.

I love this site's interface and everyone here seems nice so far but it's a bit sad that people readily reply to my comments on their profiles, journals and art but so far I don't have a single comment on any of my 8 uploads. Going to keep uploading but really... :/

I have the same problem, haha. I think people are being timid with art.. but that is a common problem everywhere nowadays. It's all about likes and faves.. LACK OF CONTACT... annoying. Trying to fix that though. c:

Yeah, hopefully we can all do something to fix that! I'm making a conscious effort to be as verbal about art I see as possible right now but I'm not sure how long it'll last if things keep being like that. It's tiring to give feedback and never get anything back though generally I'm not really a quid-pro-qua type of person.

I TOTALLY NEED MORE TIME TO COMMENT but I have been letting my watch pile up so that I can when I get the time. I agree this site needs more comments!
