Later tonight (about 7PM CST), we're taking Drawpile out for another spin and streaming the results. Drawpile is a free open-source art networking program much like OpenCanvas. It's still in alpha but development is zooming. Here's how to try it!
Go here http://sourceforge.net/projects/drawpile/files/drawpile/0.8/ and obtain the latest version. If you're using Windows, you will need "drawpile-0.8.0-windows-full.zip" and "drawpile-0.8.3-windows-update.zip".
Extract 0.8.0 first, then copy the contents of 0.8.3 into the extracted 0.8.0.
If you want to host a session, you will need to set up port forwarding. If you've ever hosted a Minecraft session, it works the same way. Detailed instructions are here. https://github.com/callaa/Drawpile/wiki/Help%3A-Hosting-and-joining After that, joining is as easy as entering some numbers!
Stay tuned for the stream, and check my previous journals for results!
