Popples was my shit yo! Also, ants are the biggest dicks of the bug world. They just get all up in your shit like they just don't care. I have silvers too...but I got my first one on my thirteenth birthday. It was nature saying "Hey guess what? You're not a kid anymore! Nyananana!"

i eventually had to quit cause of a Lot of Reasons, but the #1 was that they kept pairing me with kids who were physically too large and strong for me to restrain...and telling me i needed to restrain them when they became violent. oh and making me pay for my own tetnus booster when i was bitten by a kid.

Whaaaaat? That isn't right at all. I don't blame you for getting the heck out of there. I work with a girl who is tiny who used to work at the special needs school, they would pair her with the teen and young adult groups, and she was assaulted twice by the same guy who had a bad violent streak before she quit. He bashed her head into the wall repeatedly until she passed out before they got him off of her. I'm sure it can be rewarding if you are in the right sort of group.

yeah apparently i worked for one of the worst districts in the state, go figure. my first year was great because our classroom was specificly for students with autism which allowed us to gear things in a very logical way that suited almost everyone's needs. we were all on the same page, and the lead teacher was extremely good at what she did.
but then the school moved her to a different class, and split all of us secondary teachers up, and tried mainstreaming kids who weren't ready for it and it all blew up and went to hell. the replacement lead teacher was a complete joke and we had kids with severe ADHD and violence issues trying to work next to kids with autism and noise level issues and ...it was just a mess. we were also so understaffed (the principal refused to even VISIT the classroom to acknowledge this was an issue) that lunchtimes meant ONE teacher handling up to four students who all require individual aids and ocassional physical restraint.

Oh my. That's no good. When I was in elementary school there was only one special needs classroom and there were two teachers and no aides for around 30 kids all with different reasons for being there. I can imagine the mess with ADHD kids with the autistic ones, they're at opposite ends of the spectrum. Poor little dudes.

At first, I thought it a bit odd that you have a big fear of freefall, but are fascinated by outer space n'stuff, then I realized that you probably differentiate between freefall and weightlessness.

i've never been in a zero g simulator so i can't say for certain. maybe i would have the same fear reaction. but that doesn't mean i'd dislike space, it'd just mean that i'd reconcile myself to never experiencing it for myself....which since i'm not a millionare, i've kind of already done haha
