What is this place? by FishyBoner
First journal here since 2012. And I still don't know what to do here.
Not sure if I should just make this a "clone" of my FA or not. I don't really like doing that, and when I notice people doing that I just unwatch them from FA, simply because I am trying to use this site more. Yet unsure what I should post.
Do you guys want smut? I have lots of smut. I have some smut posted here that was never posted to my FA, so there is some smut.
Do you guys want comic announcements? Pages are posted to my site every Thursday but I try and post a preview image around to remind people, would people like that here too?
I really only post sketches and shit to tumblr, because that's were they belong, but I can try throwing more finished stuff here. Maybe? A lot of stuff I do these days is comic related or work related, and work stuff is always unposted until published(contracts and all that jazz).
Also I like drawing Weasyl banners, I have done a handful, and if I have time I might open for commissions? Maybe, I don't know. I don't have a whole lot of time these days, so when I draw something, it's either for myself, my job, or friends. Either way I want to make a better effort to use this site more! So let me know what you would like to see more of.

I am going to look though my older art, and upload a couple of things at higher res. I need to try and get some decent copies of original traditional pieces too, I do not really have a great scanner so there is lost of quality, and frustration.
The banners are fun and quick, they make great warm up sketches. I have done them for mulefoot and chaoseviin, along with myself, but that one is kind of old.

For most of the artists I'm here mostly because of the smut, I love furry smut. But for a select few I love their style so much I want to see as much as I can, and in your case I love your style, I'd love to see your comic and commercial stuff.

I'm watching folks over here that don't want to participate with FA anymore. As well as those who are staying but are worth watching over here as well. Just in case of another outage or something knocks on maple wood =)

I like this input. I really don't post all that much on FA unless its to advertise stuff, or to try and promote my comic. I know a lot of people are losing interests in FA, and I love some of the features this site offers that FA doesn't.

As you probably saw, FA has plans in place to upgrade the site and such. As to when or even if it actually happens is still uncertain. Some folks are just too impatient to wait any longer, I guess. Add to that some good ol' fashioned drama and you got people bailing for no logical reason.

The updates are only for the UI and to add new features. As for updating the database, there seems to be nothing on that end. That is what really needs an overhaul, and the site is only going to keep crashing until that is fixed.

And well, what I like to see from you? Hyena and gnolls!! For the rest, all is good, adult or clean pics. Some may have an account here and not on tumblr, also. So, you can also post the sketches you like the most.-
More gnolls, always more! I could upload the old character sheets for my comic, I do love folders.

Not always true. Some of my work for Shard studios I would LOVE to post and share, but I can't, and doing so before its published/I have permission would cost me my job, but man is some of that stuff AWESOME . And some of my smut I feel almost embarrassed about, and worry that some people wouldn't want to see that either and waffle over that? Along with posting the same image 3 or 4 times over, well I am lazy. So putting out the feelers for what the people would like.

Well, I didn't mean violate any of your contacts, of course! XD I just meant post things you would like to share; people will either appreciate it or go to the next pic. As long as you enjoy what you're drawing and posting, it will come out in your art and interactions here. Though I can understand wanting to narrow it down if you've got a lot to post!

I really can't wait to share some of those projects, and I do have a few others, freelance book covers I really haven't posted around. I do love that there are folders here to sort stuff. It's also awesome to see people actively interacting with people and leaving constitutive comments. Really been in this strange limbo for a while about posting art, while I love drawing(even the crazy raunchy stuff) some of the attention I received from people made me really reclusive about sharing everything. I wish people could separate reality and fantasy, and understand that because an artist draws their silly made up animal getting it on with other made up animals, doesn't mean they are like that in real life. Part of it is just not having the time or energy to comment, post and keep up. I have been working full time for a studio, while juggling smaller freelance gigs, and doing my comic for the last 3 years. Have just finished up my freelance stuff in time to replace it with classes.
I do hope that this site sticks and people continue to use it.-
I'm trying to comment more on pictures, to encourage people to stay. I've got some high hopes, especially considering the moderation team seems very open to suggestions and willing to work with folks to improve the site. Can't wait to see more of your art; you have such a fantastic style!
