Ooze Tails by Adoptberries

Ooze tails

An Unusual Species with cut off tails. They are better known for oozing a goo that serves three distinctive purposes. The Goo is for Mating, Classification and Survival.

Goo in Mating:

The ooze not only smells good, but also can acts as a pouch to hold young. Unless in season, the species does not produce the rearing goo pouches for mating. The pouches rest on the hips of both males and female. They can be moves to the sides or back of the parent in order to put the adult between predators and offspring. During the rest of the year, both the tails and ears are always produce goo. This goo often is tasteless, unless extracted from the tails. The Tail often releases a rich flavor that reacts to taste receptors in order to mimic one’s favorite treats. Thus while mating Oozes often like to suck on or touch each other’s tails.

When there is a Child among two Ooze often the Father will carry the child during Mating season freeing the Mother to bear another. Mating season comes once every six month, an offspring takes roughly one year to fully develop and open it’s eyes for the first time. Once grown the offspring is booted from it’s fathers pouch as it’s sibling will take the place. It will then hold onto one of it’s parents or siblings tails, usually using the other as a pull rope in order to get up and learn how to walk. Off spring will spend up to four years with their parents, after which they begin to venture out into their community and find their place in it. Depending on tail types can make certain jobs and lifestyles available to them. They will spend around another five years moving about to find their place. By the age of ten human years they are considered adults.

Classification:

Goo tail types represent the rarity and value of OT.

Geckos- COMMON- Tails often cut apart, the unattached part often still gets dragged behind due to the Ooze connecting them. The outsides of these tails are harder then the insides, often causing them to look like they are oozing out at the slash ends.

Vessels- COMMON- This Breed has an incredibly Drippy Tail type. In fact they can leave a trail behind them up to a mile long. However the ooze is a source of vital nutrients and health benefits. Vessels have solved their dilemma by sticking their tails into containers or other strange holders.

Sludges- RARE- Unlike Royals, Sludges are not to be desired. An unknown genetic disorder causes them to be completely unable to produce the goo pouches. They also leak ooze out of their eyes and mouth. Though Male Sludges can reproduce the Sludges are primarily Female.

Royals- RARE- This breed do not dock their tails and instead bind the tail at birth in order to shape the ooze. The tails often have unusual shapes and barely ooze out due to only having a small cut. However they are at the top or the social system due to their tail’s beauty and taste.

ODD TYPES:

Splits- Extremely Rare- Tail splits in half or into more then one at some point.

Princesses- Uncommon- Royals who's tails are not binded properly.

Koi- Fish like Ooze tails, It is unknown if they even exist.

Fuse- The nearly unseen type, these are conjoined twins, most commonly fused together at the tail. Due to the tail's unusual structure and make up in a fuse, it is impossible to split them. Those who are Fused often live pretty healthy lives but require the two to work together. Often fuses will Partner with one other that the two share or in some rare cases each will have a separate partner although that is far more difficult...

Drip- Vessel only, the drip is caused by the Vessel's unable to find a container at and early age and the tail oozes too much to attempt later containment. This effect can also cause ear and body deterioration and could eventually lead to an early death without ooze injections. The legs are often scarred and drips usually cover them.

Tails Properties:

The tails hold most of the Ooze’s needed fats and energy. However as one can tell oozes tails are cut open. The reason is that the tails only offer these properties when the ooze inside of them is consumed. The Ooze will suck on the tail ends in order to gain the health benefits it needs.
These health benefits can be passed onto any species by drinking the ooze. Thus unfortunately they have been hunted for their tails. The same taste mechanism that is pleasurable for mating and growth is also the reason for other’s to desire them.

MORE TO COME.
