A possible way to bring more activity to Weasyl by jonas
I want to see Weasyl become a more lively and populated place, but people tend to forget about this gallery except when something goes sour with FA. I think people shouldn't only be coming here for negative reasons -- I think there need to be positive ones as well. I made a post in the Weasyl forums about an old tradition from another gallery I was a part of, one that could become a positive reason to visit Weasyl. If you're of a similar mind as me, please visit the thread and offer your commentary:

Personally, I'm of the opinion where I'm going to try and comment more here as much as I can, since that helps foster the sense of community and all. And if I can couple it with a Fav on a picture, then posting has more meaning, and prompts people to post more...or so I hope. ;3

I think more people will stick around this time. After the long FA outage a few weeks back, while activity died down once FA came back up, it died down a lot less than in previous iterations. Still, I'm glad to see journals (like this one) that are encouraging positive ideas to foster a community here. Nice!
