First off sorry for the lack of updates on my art galleries, I am busy drawing stuff but most of it is works in progress and as such I don't tend to show them off as they are not the cleanest of art works. I've also been fairly quiet on commenting on people's art work. Why have I been quiet? Part of it is I just don't know what to say on a piece other than the bland and boring "I like it."

The other more personal side is that when I have talked about people's art work in the past I seems to have the nasty habit of including just a bit of too much information. Trouble is often times I am joking and humor is hard to convey in the written word, sure I could put emoticons all over the place but that just comes off as being immature. Of course the comments I make could be seen as such too so I suppose it's a double does of damned if I do, damned if I don't. I've gotten burned too for sharing my opinions too. It seems mine is not the popular means of thought.

I shall use the current drama surrounding a website as an example. My reaction is simply this: YOU ARE ALL SURPRISED BY THIS? Seriously the website in question has a track record a mile long of mismanaged personal, inner workings, and a whole history of doing things over all pretty badly especially management wise. So why is everyone so up in arms or even remotely surprised they went and did what they did. Color me not surprised. I am sure that in two or three weeks times most of you will be back on the site back to the same old same old. It doesn't really matter because a website is a tool. Just a tool, nothing more nothing less.

If you are a lucky person you get feed back, make connections, and become the social daringly of whatever fan base your creative forces attracts. There's nothing bad about this but consider if those people only know you from one website, one tiny sliver of your life, then what do they know about you personally? I wager not much. Is that what a site should be. No it should be a tool, a show case, look at any website out there and it's basically that a window to look in on and weigh in. Just remember when you weigh in not everyone will agree with you.

So just keep this in mind. For artists I would say that posting your art work on more than one site is a good thing. Broadens your exposure and maybe others will see your work.

Anyway back to doing what I do.

I don't post such things often cause I think I ramble and as stated in the journal my opinions are I feel most often an outside thing.

I'm not surprised by what happened, after all I had a run in with the "management" at the site that shall not be named....

It's like Lord Volemort we do no speak it's name even though we all know what site it is. LOL Yeah it's not shocking more of repeated pattern of operations with those folks.
