What Do I Do? by TyberDe

Hey! So I'm a freelance composer and sound effect designer. I have a couple of credits to my name, and that name is my actual Real Life name. I'm a little sketchy about crossing the boundary between Real Life persona and furry persona. Perhaps I am nervous about squicking out folks who are familiar with my other stuff, or scaring off other game devs as potential clients. I'll be participating in the Global Game Jam as Tyber next weekend, so we'll see how that goes. :)

But yeah, I am at the point in my career where I feel like I have to "build a brand". I suppose writers can use pen names, and musicians will release music under other group names, though. So Tyber will have a different style than that other me, I suppose!

I'm just getting started in the game music/audio scene myself, and feel a similar pressure re: boundary crossing re: furry.

Either way, I'm looking forward to hearing some of your Tyber-branded work. :3 I hope to be more productive in that realm, myself.

Awesome. I'd love to talk about music with other folks (and see your stream when it happens!) I kind of have a hermitous Creative existence so far, which probably isn't the best for getting excited about the "forum" and the "content". So, yeah: go Team Slightly Squirmy!

I definitely prefer the idea of getting creative around furries rather than the "general audience crowd", if just for the acceptance factor I assume I'd encounter. Bring around other "furs" definitely comforts my Squirm Syndrome. :P

Weird, since i don't even really consider myself a furry, but I guess it's because I dig the art-positive environment.
