The #1 Reason Why I Prefer FA by Echoen
This is by far the most important reason I prefer FA over any other website.
When you save a file from FA, the file name defaults as #######.artist.words_of_the_title
When you save a file from Weasyl, the file name defaults as 0a136b9c80e13d53b77d10a635b23bc67da0dd31f0466508156895adbf4a0555
I have to click on the image again in order to get the file name to default as artist-title.
The second most important reason is that Weasyl defaults to an itty bitty thumbnail for every submission, whereas FA defaults to a tiny version of the full picture. I can see the full picture and know if I want to see it better on FA; on Weasyl, I have to click on the image to see if I had any interest at all.

They are working on stuff like this for the overhaul being released soon, thumbnails is 100% getting changed and I think I've heard about the filenames too.

So you in the meantime prefer to use a largely broken website that has frequent unplanned downtimes, complete with security holes and malware injected in its SQL over another that has plans to implement these creature comforts, and has none of the former's crud?
I prefer to use Weasyl over FA because it has less security exploits, and a more competent administration team (there are STILL support tickets from 2 years ago on FA that have yet to be looked at let alone replied to).

I complete agree. Plus, I'm a fan of a simple watch/follow system. Why divide it up between follow and friend? Makes it more complicated in my opinion!
