I have taken it upon myself to create/mod a database for commissioners who have been displaced by leaving FA, as well as those who feel trapped on FA due to commissions being their source of income/living and not being able to leave their main pool of commissioners. I aim to make this a database where people can browse/search for the type of commissioner they want, as well as people's entries having examples, contact info, a bio, and so on. The hopeful outcome of this is that people who are in this situation can, hopefully, earn enough support/viewage on other sites that they will no longer feel like they /must/ stay on FA, and can choose to leave if they so desire. (And, once the dust settles, it can also become a place for those in financial need to get boosted/spread.)
However, I can't do this without your support/help; I'm only one guy, and the faster and more this gets spread and shown to people, the more it will grow into the resource I envision. Please, PLEASE spread this around and tell people. There's plenty of info on the page itself (as well as the submit page- don't forget to read that!) but if you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
(Also I still don't know what to use as the icon; suggestions very much welcome!)
Mainly I just see a lot of people on FA saying 'I want to leave but I need money' and I just...I wanna help. If they want to leave a site (especially FA, considering the latest atrocities I will only speak my mind truly on in private), then they should be able to. I can't financially help, so, I figure this is the next best thing.
You could simply rename this "For those of you Wishing to make business on Weasyl, this is for you" and it would still be a great idea.

Interesting initiative. I'm stil posting on both Weasyl and FA(and Weasyl's submission tool make it -very- easy to keep my Weasyl account up to date with my FA, to the point I'm uploading on Weasyl first for convenience alone before posting the FA copy of my works), but it's nice to see such an initiative. I also like how in your blog description you're making an effort to stay above the latest drama, a decision for which I need to give you my kudos.
In the end, if Weasyl wishes to be a successful website, it will need to be seen to commission artists as a place where they can indeed conduct sufficient business, and a place where commissioners can find in turn artists to commission. And iniatives like this are as such a very good idea. :)
