Thank you all for following me here over on Weasyl. After a long night sleeping on it, I will not be leaving the fandom but I will be spending my time here instead of furaffinity, and I hope that many other artists join me. Very soon I'll be posting an exclusive comic up here.
In the mean time, for those of you who are moving your galleries over this Chrome extension:
Is a very painless and easy way to do it. It'll automatically upload the file, title, tags, and description. All you have to do is set the maturity yourself and you're good to submit.
Because of all the new traffic it's inevitable that Weasyl will crash occassionally--but don't let that discourage you. They are very fast about taking care of the problem through these rough first spikes.

I'm not here to play judge or say if a rape did or did not happen. That said, regardless, the site administration's attitude towards a potential victim (Saying they should keep quiet, saying that forced (I'm sorry "pressured") sex isn't rape, and the supposed assaulter going on to make rape jokes on his twitter with no ramifications was enough to make me want to leave. Furaffinity as a site has lost my donations and adsupport. Many of the users on furaffinity sided with Dragoneer and the perpetrator's opinions and actively engage in joking around about the subject with them. This is not okay and if this is the fanbase that Furaffinity encourages, I do not want to be associated with them any more both to protect my name and for moral reasons.

I've always enjoyed the layout and design of Weasyl and have been considering completely moving her for a while. Guess now is the time! Happily never going back to F.A. The staff here is amazing and responsive. So far I have no complaints what-so-ever.

I like Weasyl. I still post on both FA and Weasyl but I'll admit that if someday my user base reach a "tipping point" on Weasyl I wouldn't really bat an eye about making it my main gallery. It's -very very- easy to maintain as a livestream artist who often have to post literal batch of commissions everydays. The lack of a 60 seconds delay seriously help in fact.
And this said the funny part about that recent downtime on Weasyl? It wasn't even because of the amount of new users and traffic. It was because some jerk decided to throw a DDOS attack at the site.
I kind of like how they resolved that one very quickly though.

I hope your base does tip. A lot of artists are going Weasyl exclusive and that's forcing their watchers to move over as well, so here's hoping that things'll stay this way. I'm also not surprised that someone is being vengeful and using a DDoS attack to make the site seem unreliable. =P

You made a good call, I'm moving my stuff too, but it started like a month before all this came out in public.
I'm a mentalist ^.^
Weasyl is a great place, so feel free to brows it, less crowded then FA and better ethics ;)
