How is everyone liking Weasyl so far?
I'm still learning my way around the user interface, but so far I am enjoying it. The collections are what confused me the most at first, but I believe I understand them now. I'm also curious, what you guys think of the friends option here. I know it plays a part in privacy settings, which I think will be interesting to start using. I am also particularly fond of how the site lets you crop and make thumbnails for the gallery submissions on site. I'm quite happy with the thought taken into account with that.
I don't quite understand the necessity for journal tags though... I suppose we'll see later on.
If I think it has a lot of potential for the future if it continues on the right path. I'm sincerely hoping that it doesn't enter a state of limbo like Nabyn is currently in, because this site seems to be pulling out all the bells and whistles without turning into another DA.
The FAQ can definitely use an updating with all the little features and such xD
Especially the coding structure allowed on submissions and the sort! Just found out I could use BBCode on my characters descriptions ^^
i love the thumbnail thing. i think it's really cool. the only thing at the moment that bothers me is that it resizes pictures too small >.< i can't read my ref sheets, and pictures lose detail
Yeah, I've run into that as well while uploading larger pictures. Though the -download- button does allow it to go full size, but it does what most do and takes you completely off-page for something like that. I do think that it is slightly beneficial in that aspect because then you can upload high-rez versions if you're that type of artist and you don't have to deal with ultimate size limits like FA does.
Perhaps bringing the sizing issue to the forums? Because I noticed some of mine loose their detail too :<
