IT REALLY IS. Which is unfortunate. I guess, the best we as artists can do, as far as wanting to leave that site goes... would be to make sure to stay active elsewhere, and help friends work on staying active too. If we can maintain enough of a userbase here, the site itself may help to convert people the rest of the way. At least good enough to start offering commissions through it.

Exactly. I've been hoping everyone moves over here since the beta became open, but to build a solid userbase takes SO LONG and most people want instant gratification, y'know? It's a shame. This site has it's issues, but they're nothing compared to the competition. I truly, truly hope that the exodus makes a dent in FA enough for folks to pick and choose, rather than be forced into using one over the other.

TBH, I would love if Weasyl took a more balanced standpoint, though. More of an equal standing of furry and non-furry, versus being a completely JUST furry site. u Ou I know it's designed to be more than just furry, but it would be nice if it moved that way more evenly too. /JUST ME THO-
I agree as well. Deviantart is a horrendous place for its own reasons, and it'd be nice to have an alternative here. It's a shame that not that many folks are willing to associate with a "furry" site, because there are quite a few people, such as you and myself, that enjoy both human and anthro art. Unfortunately, there's no real site that meshes the two seamlessly, save for tumblr, but I want a gallery site that does that. Maybe in the future some of the DA crowd will migrate here.

yeah it's unfortunate. The dA community is terrible as a whole (though it has nicer small pockets, of course)
FA, as a general community, is p nice. I'm not really a furry, so I don't need a lot of the aspects to be happy as an artist. But it's no denying furries pay better ahaha
I do like a lot of the design work that comes with a lot of the anthro creatures though >V<TBH I miss Nabyn a lot. Wish it hadn't died, cuz I felt it was a really good mix.
