OK I'm having a problem recently
My Mcafee Firewall keeps turning it's self off. Why doe it keep doing it? I don't know how to fix it either.
It's really pissing me off but also it's really scaring me. I need this laptop working safely to keep in contact with all my friends online...
If anyone has any advice...please help me...

Also after a bit of google searches some working suggestions seem to be: re-install McAfee (if you use the paid version you'll need the product number or whatever) or make sure your windows firewall isn't on, it could be blocking the McAfee firewall.

I've tired that with the Windows Firewall. But because it's not using it's "recommended setting" I can't turn it off, if it is indeed on. But I can't put it to it's recommended settings because of some error...so that's an upsetting and annoying set back :(

First off, I really would recommend getting rid of Mcafee. That software is just...prone to giving your setup all -kinds- of problems similar to Norton. Second off, Mcafee's firewall isn't very reliable in the first place...why not just use Microsoft Essentials?

You could always try a system restore, don't know if it'll work, I know nothing about McAfee. Or you could install something else, McAfee isn't very good. AVG and Avira are both free and everyone I've talked to says they're both a lot better than McAfee. Supposedly Norton has gotten better too, but I can't vouch for that.
