Story Commissions? by Aelius

The semester is over, and while students have completed their exams, I myself have just completed the last of my first-ever story commissions.

This was an interesting exercise. I'm actually pondering the possibility of offering story commissions in addition to artwork. Not only will they help me keep my edge sharp inbetween personal projects and earn a bit of cash, but I can work on stories without them interfering with art commissions. Due to the way my free time is structured, time spent writing and drawing are completely separate and nearly incompatible.

With that in mind, I'd like to first gauge whether there would be any interest in me writing stories on commission. The usual rules apply, whatever I refuse to draw, I also refuse to write. If I were to start out I'd probably limit length to around 10,000 words per story, and a rate of four dollars per page (I tried calculating on a per-word basis but it would be too expensive for a guy just starting out).

I'll still do artwork commissions, too. In fact, I'm almost halfway done with my current queue so the time draws near where I can open back up again. And of course, art and writing will not clash with each other.

So what does everyone think? Is there an interest in hiring me to write your short story?
