Hey guys, remember when FA believed in actually trying to keep their website from falling apart by actually REVAMPING THE SHITTY CODING-- instead of constantly patching it over from constant laziness?
No?
Yeah.
Me neither.
I'm honestly just sitting around waiting for a critical hardware failure to occur and FA to be dead for good for everyone to realize how literally only the community of itself keeps FA popular.

GOSH. I KNOW RIGHT? LOL
So many people are in my place and just want to take FA behind the barn and shoot it but we can't since our income is always riding on it. LOL
But at the same time if FA did break it's ass for good, everyone would direct their attention elsewhere and we'd know where to get an audience again.

It's a good thing I keep DeviantArt, Weasyl, SoFurry and InkBunny up to date and I don't put all my eggs in one basket like a lot of artists do. :/

I remember when I first joined FA in 2009, they had the "commissions information" tab that you couldn't select due to a coding vulnerability. I remember when they finally took that tab down... about a year and a half later. Then I remember them actually fixing it... a few months ago. It's one thing they did that they said they'd do but the time it took them to finally do it was really rather unacceptable.
Kinda reminds me of Valve's long-promised and even longer-awaited Half-life 3... the only difference being that Valve can actually figure out a decent-sounding reason for making people wait so long. FA really doesn't have anything they can say that sounds any whit realistic (the only thing I ever saw an FA admin say concerning the "Commissions Information" tab, for instance, was that it took a long time to fix code because it's so complicated. I could understand that if it had taken at most a few weeks to fix, but not four years. That's way beyond acceptable).

Yeah, I joined around the same time and I remember it dropping out of existence. That was my last straw of faith with FA when they had their 'Town Meeting' and they said they wanted to change things around once and for all, and that /NO MATTER WHAT/ they would have the commission tab available in December 2012.
It didn't show up till around March 2013 and was rudimentary as holy hell. They also /PROMISED/ that they wanted to do away with the regular banners, in my January. Nope, they just change them less frequently now; since part of changing the banner was to UPDATE THE FUCKING CODING OF THE ENTIRE SITE.
At this point, I've...just stopped expecting any better of them. lol....

Maybe eventually someone'll notice that, no matter what FA says it is going to do, it won't actually do it. Where are all of those 'major' changes that have been promised for years? And for real, just now getting SSL - and only on the shite beta site? FurAffinity needs to either rehaul or just quietly flop off into the corner.
