Okay, so I've had a fun past few days. *sarcasm*

Story starts on Friday evening. I'm playing GuildWars 2, starting to get back into it, and the game crashes. Followed shortly by the computer crashing, giving blue screen of death, and turning off. Turns on computer again and it'll crash anywhere between a couple of minutes to maybe a half-hour at most? It was bad. I couldn't even scan my computer (first instinct was virus). This wasn't the first time something bad had happened, Chi (that's what my laptop's name is) once forgot it had a driver to connect to wireless internet.

Norv fears it's a hard drive issue. Chi was a refurbished computer. Usually safe, but he said that hard drives can be hard to determine if they're bad at times. So we order a new hard drive, even upgrading it to a full TB. Might as well upgrade if you can, see if we can squeeze some more life out of the computer (we've had 'em for a little over a year, though I think it was a couple of years old already).

So from Friday to yesterday, I've had little computer time. Not a happy camper. Had to borrow Norv's computer for a skype meeting with FangCon and then just do other things. I was close to having withdrawals, man! I couldn't keep up with Facebook and I'm so behind on a blog I'm following!

Well, yesterday Norv mentioned this to a couple of coworkers. They suggest checking out the RAM, since that can cause similar issues. Get home and test it out. The RAM stick we bought later was just fine. The one Chi came with? Not so much. Poor thing was ridiculously bad.

Ah, so there's the problem. Took it out and Chi hasn't crashed once. It's a little slower, but manageable. We ordered a new RAM stick so hopefully that will come in soon.

As for the hard drive we ordered, we're gonna see if my hard drive was really okay or not. If it's okay, I'll get the new hard drive and we'll switch my old one to Norv's lap top if they are compatible. That way we both get a nice upgrade. Mostly Rose (Norv's lapt top).

Yes, we name most of the electronics. At least the computer related ones.

So yeah, that was pretty exciting I suppose. But now Chi is up and running and soon to be better than before. So that's nice.
