Hey peeps! 

Last week was kind of rough. Got stuck in the house for most of it due to the ice storm. And I do mean ice- we didn't really get snow so much as a bunch of sleet that turned into a solid sheet of ice over everything for most of the week. Been a long time since we had a winter this intense around here. Didn't help my already fucked up mental health either, nor my physical health for that matter. Been battling sleep issues again recently, too. But hey, at least I'm making progress on weaning myself off caffeine, and I've gone without a drop of alcohol for at least 2 weeks now. So that's something.

Writing last week was tough with the way my head was, let alone any notion of drawing. But luckily I got a bit better about it over the weekend, so things should start picking up again. As you may have noticed, Sunday was kind of Horny Brain Time, apparently. Finally got around to doing that extended scene from part 5 of MHO between Kuna and Hoku, and I've started the more recent one for him and Lykou. 

I also indulged in some unrelated smut writing on the side as well. First non-MHO story I've written in ages, in fact. It involves a couple characters I sort of came up with some years ago specifically for that kind of purpose, but I never really did anything with them until now. I enjoyed writing that little story even more than I expected. So I may just have to make that another ongoing thing at some point as well. Might be a good idea to have some small side-projects here and there to break things up so I don't burn out on MHO. Not that I think that's likely to happen, but every once in a while I hit a snag with MHO and need something to shake up my creative juices and get the ball rolling again. So I think doing some fun little stories with Brooke, Kaelzai, and a few other characters in their own little world might be a good way to do that. 

My main focus is still on Lykou and Kuna's adventure, don't worry! In fact, I'm eager to get back to that later today, both to write that saucy scene with the two of them, and to get to Lykou's first experience with the astral realm. And I'm continuing to be super excited about another fun bit coming up in Downtime, but it's a few chapters away right now. And as I previously stated, I'm still trying to decide which episode to start after this one, since it'll be a shorter one overall anyway. It's sorely tempting to start Wound Awakens so we can get to the Big Moment at the end of it, but I may try slipping Deep Dark Wonders first.
