Well, it's 2024 now (how the frick did it get here so damn fast?!). To be honest, I'm a bit apprehensive about it for reasons I won't go into here. But in the spirit of hopefulness, here's to wishing everyone a great new year! 

Hard to believe it's been like 9 months since I took a hiatus from gaming and started MHO. It's definitely been a very different kind of year for me because of that. And while I'm not as far along as I expected, that's just because I expanded so much on my notes and ideas that I've written over 552k words!! Not gonna lie, I'm pretty damn proud of that, as well as the story itself. I guess I'm finally making up for years of neglecting my writing hobby, hehe. 

I can tell at this point I won't be finished with MHO by the one-year mark, but if I try real hard, I might just make it to a certain very special moment by then! 

I'm not usually big on New Years Resolutions, because as we all know, those tend to last about a week, to maybe a month at most before we give up on them. But there are some things I want to aim for this year. First of all, I obviously want to continue and finish MHO. I'm hoping to wrap it up by the summer, maybe July at the absolute latest. (Probably more like May, but who knows?) Once I do, I'll probably take a little break from the setting and characters to do some other things. (Including a celebratory gaming binge after having abstained from it for over a year xD) But eventually I do have some spinoffs and a sequel or two planned.

On a more general note, I plan to try and work on my health this year. I need to cut back on both caffeine and alcohol, and try to lose some weight. To that end, I got some new shoes and I'm in the process of shopping around for a decent bike. I've got more to talk about on the latter, but I'll save it for tomorrow's Weekly Update. I also want to try and do some more drawing. Other than that, I'll probably think of a few more things to mention in the morning. But for now, I think it's a good start!
