I'm trying to ease back into being a bit more sociable after self-isolating pretty hard the past couple months, and I also want to bump the rambling "where I've been" journal off my page, so let's do this again.


Ask me stuff. Questions about me, my characters, my art process, general trivia I may have picked up over the years.


Ask my characters stuff and see if I can answer in character (and who knows, maybe I'll get a question that motivates me to draw an answer to it rather than just replying).


Or just chat with me about stuff. Whatever you like. It's all good.

    If you wanted a Christmas Card, hand-drawn by me, which OC/Fursona/etc. would you nominate and what holiday do you celebrate?
    (I can do any holiday that you want if not Christmas)

      I was not expecting such an offer! If it's Christmas art, a deer is the classic choice, so I'd nominate Buck Donner.

      Personally, I don't really celebrate any of the holidays and Christmas tends to just be a quiet day at home for me, which is honestly how I like it. A quiet day to myself, catching up on sleep and whatever else. What do you do for the winter holiday season?

          Aww, thanks! I look forward to seeing it.

          I suppose drawing Christmas and New Year's art might count as celebrating? I haven't started anything yet but I do sometimes draw something Christmas-themed and pretty much every year I have some sort of Baby New Year art featuring one of the babies (or one of the manchildren).

    Any artists that really inspire you?

      I had to stop and think about this a bit... and I realized this might sound arrogant or ignorant, but no, not really. I can't really point to any specific artists that inspire me. Saying that makes me sound very uncultured, I know lol.

      Maybe I can offer something, though? I've mentioned before at various points that my influences (and maybe that counts as inspiration) really were the media I was exposed to growing up--old cartoons, animated Disney movies, things like Pokemon and Digimon, Dragonball Z and Star Wars, even newspaper comic strips (showing my age a bit by mentioning that, and the 20-year anniversary of my getting "serious" about designing and drawing my own stuff is next year). A lot of those things were definitely collaborations between numerous artists and designers and writers, I just can't seem to point to any specific person and say "that's my inspiration".

      Unless I misunderstood, of course.

      If music/bands count, I guess I could say I find Ghost to be an inspiration, they're the soundtrack to a lot of my art time and I've gotten more than a few ideas from just chillin' and listening to their music, if that counts?
