And I'm glad you're here! Looking at all the comments, I think people just prefer to lurk more here uwu So it's not a dead website, just a chill one!

    sure if you want :3
I am actually most active on weasyl, I like the community here ^-^ weasyl may be a small site, but it ain't no "ghost town" that's for sure UwU I see people posting here multiple times a day, even I post regularly :D I think weasyl's also one of those places where you've got to go up to others for interactions instead of waiting for them to come to you, just sayin' UwU /nbr

Similarweb analytics rate Weasyl at around 500 thousand monthly visits, compared to FurAffinity's 21 million, Inkbunny's 3 million, and sofurry's 300 thousand. From my personal experience with browsing the new artwork, I encounter the people I watch in the general browsing feed all the time, which almost never happens when I'm browsing FurAffinity.

The result is you have fewer viewers, but your works also have less competition for their attention, It is generally a much quieter site.

As for me, mostly add SFW pictures to me Favorites on this account, and while I greatly admire your technique, your style and the overall soft, vibrantly colorful and dreamilly hazy feel of your artwork, I still don't register my interest much, and I seldom leave comments on Weasyl, too.

Whichever choice would ensure you will have a decent compensation and audience exposure would be a good choice -- your professional satisfaction comes first.

Some artists maximize their cross-platform presence by using multy-site publishing tools like PostyBirb, even if they focus on one site.

Awwww you're so sweet! Thanks for all the compliments :3 I have some vibrant SFW artworks incoming, so maybe you will find something worth faving :3
And thanks for a detailed response, made me realize that weasyl is just different, but not dead x3

Hey, I appreciate good erotica! Your works are all "worth faving", I'm just keeping this account family friendl-ish.
And thank you for the heads-up! I'll also follow you on FA so as not to miss out on anything.
I'm still a poor commenter, though, and I hope more vocal followers and grateful paying customers will discover you!

Well the fact is, Twitter is a shithole owned by morons who allow death threats.
Furaffinity is owned by a tyrant who bans anyone he wants for no reason at all other than personal feelings and refuses to tell them why.
Any Twitter Alternative will be just as bad for posting art because it will be some terrible wall timeline that you have to scroll through for hours to find anything older.

So, yea, you should really keep posting to one of the last few good galleries around so people can still find your stuff.

Yee I decided to stick around since I received WAY MORE comments than I expected.
As for Twitter alternatives, I'm hyped to see how itaku handles videos...

  • Link

Probably. What other sites do you post to?

  • Link

Apologies for the late reply. I do "lurk" here and I do comment on here when I get a chance. Though I don't oft, as some artists are just way to damned busy to reply so I leave them be

    • Link

I indeed spot you on FA more often! Right?..

      • Link

Indeed you do. I haven't posted anything on here...though I probably should at some point.

Given the existence of cross-posting tools such as PostyBirb, it doesn't hurt to post to numerous sites. Even if you get little traffic on some of them, it's better than nothing.

But I try to answer to all the comments. I find in unethical just post my art somewhere and never interact with people who spend their time watching/commenting.
