My love of TF and thoughts on it by Trevor-Fox

Whenever I talk about TF, I'm very careful to leave out certain words like "kink" or "fetish." Why? Because people have no sense of nuance. It gets thrown into a box with no discernment of context.

Can pics be spicy? Absolutely. Can things be suggestive? Certainly. Can pictures be innocent fun? Of course. I have no problems with any of these nor with adults enjoying some fun with proper boundaries. But my love of TF is not simply kink related. It brings me joy. I'm happy when I can explore a new form or get excited over a new character. It's tough to describe, but sometimes a design or aesthetic hits so well, and I want to see more of it. I want to be that thing. And as an artist, I can satisfy that need.

Again, I have no problem with others enjoying things in a more adult manner, but it is very irksome to have something you enjoy lumped into a category and only seen as that. It bothers me a lot when TF is ALL labeled as NSFW. It's the same as labeling all furry art as a fetish. It's an unfair and egregiously simplified statement by others to put it all into a little box that they can "understand" when there's more to it than that

Agreed. I passed over multiple new art sites I otherwise would have tried out due to blanket "NSFW" labeling. As someone who does not want to see actual NSFW art, it makes the filters and therefore the site completely unusable.

This is a problem I have, too, and the first time I ever saw it was on Reddit. If everything has a blanket label attached to it, then silly cartoon poof TF gets lumped in with more adult imagery

    I feel this strongly

You right. Just cause it’s something people are unfamiliar with, it’s suddenly “adult content” and we’re “horrible people.” That’s SO annoying.
