Could start going to furry cons again

This will be last journal for now catching up on things. Yes, I could plan on going to furry cons again. I have done furry cons for five years before, it's been about three years of not going. I started going to furry cons in 2015 when I was nearly finished with art college, stopped going in very early 2020. Before covid became serious public health crisis.

The reasons for stopped going, was admittedly not because of covid. I stopped because of my old job I used to have for four years was becoming worse and worse. The job wasn't allowing myself go to MFF, because my old job was needing those days to get stuff done because of tight deadlines and higher demands around at the time. My life was messier before that took many years to get everything all cleaned up, etc. I was taking care of the telegram groups at the time that was complicated matters before.

Old job and old non-art projects wasn't allowing time for myself to make comic pages and other art stuff. As I made less comic pages, more I decided to withdrawn myself from the furry cons to deal with real life problems more. Even decided to deal with covid crisis more seriously at the same time. The old job kept becoming worse to the point went from four work days to six work days due to loss of workers, etc. No longer having breaks anymore for maybe like a year. It was almost "traumatic" like experience, but I turned out okay unlike many workers tho. It wasn't making any sense to appear at furry cons when I had less new comic pages to show off. Furry cons are very expensive.

Thankfully, now with new job I got for eight months ongoing allowing myself to have four days off each week, by working 36 hours in three days. Pays well, overtime not allowed. I spent eight months self recovering, cleaned up lot of things. Donated lot of stuff to thrift shops, sold hundreds of items on eBay, etc. Old stuff that was kept for like way too many years, etc. My living areas all impressively completely cleaned up.

It definitely does feels weird having those three years wasted of not making any art stuff outside of few sketches or so. I'm still surprised with many furries over the years seem to still favoriting many of my old Furry Transformation comic pages. They're okay comic pages, not great, but not bad. They're not successful, but they're definitely not failures as well. I do view them as "flops" when in reality they're doing okay enough unlike most TF artists struggling to get much views and favs as I do. I like having really high standards to reach, too high at times.

Been enjoying new kind of life, still not used to having four days off each week as it's too weird for me to handle now. I was far too used to tight harsh deadlines all my life. Wasn't allowing enough time, etc before. This will definitely improve my comic art studio experiences. I have a good feeling that comic pages to make will have different sense of stronger more controlled tone to them. After all, I always do love how the furries looks and how to explore the thoughts of furries.

As for the furry cons, I'm not sure I could do them. Right now seem like covid are still going around lightly, and nature of any politics seem to be stressing furries out, leading to sense of mistrust, and lack of faith. I'm unfortunately not very well established furry artist in the furry fandom. Again like I said, furry cons are very expensive. I'm willing to give MFF 2023, and Fursquared 2024 a chance to explore again, see how things goes. If I really do enjoy them, I could do more.
