Thinking about doing some tweaking to the way MHO is presented. For one thing, I do still plan to go back and clean up the first couple of chapters some, and add a prologue to give a bit more info about Lakefire, and the folks in Lykou's life. I'm uncertain about whether to do something similar for Kuna, since he was on his own at the time and I kind of liked him being a slight mystery when he's first introduced. And leaving it that way helps to strengthen the impact of the reveal of his background later on. I'd kind of like to do a little something with him prior to the big chase that sets everything off, but I'd have to be careful not to do anything that'd take away from that later impact.

But anyway, on top of that I also am considering tweaking the way the story is presented. "Chapter 42" is awful daunting to any potential new readers, and will only get moreso as time goes on. But the way MHO is structured, especially from chapter 30 onward, loans itself well to more episodic approach. The whole story could easily be broken down into sections that are like stories within a series. "The Highland Bunnies, Chapter 4" with a comment in the description and/or author's note mentioning that it's part 3 of Mystic Heart Odyssey is probably a lot less intimidating than "Mystic Heart Odyssey - Chapter 33" and so on. And I do see how I can trim the existing chapters into about three sections so far, with the fourth one having started on what is currently listed as chapter 42.

Only thing is that it'd be annoying to go back and change it all now that I have 42 chapters up on 4 sites. I'd probably leave FurryNetwork alone though, since I'm even considering ditching that site anyway- virtually no activity, it eats formatting, and for whatever reason it's impossible to organize the folders in any rational way; the chapters are horribly out of order there as it is, despite uploading them in the correct order. But in any case, the other three would be annoying, but perfectly doable. And I should decide now where the lines should be, before I expand to any other sites like I want to.
