Music for the Day

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been making a journal once a day for nearly a month until it was broken back on Sunday. I’ve been doing it under the advice of my dad, who suggested that having a journal once a day would help bring in more readers. It’s hard to tell if it does bring in new readers or not since it’s still too early to say, but at least it kept my writing polished.

As for the sudden break, do you folks remember the move I mentioned in a few journals? Long story short, it finally happened. I’m typing this in the room that I’ll be living in until at least September, which is when dad hopes the new house will be built by then. Of course, not everything was brought from my home, such as one of my drawers, since there was limited space in the trailer, and it would rain by the time we got there. In fact, it’s somewhat sprinkling now. But I mainly brought what I wanted from my old home.

It honestly feels strange moving out of a house for the first time. I thought it would involve getting a job with a pay enough to sustain me and a home, but I find that the economy in recent decades no longer favors that kind of tactic. Honestly, it’s a shame since I do wish to spread my wings out (figuratively speaking) and live independently, yet due to one reason or another, I cannot. Heck, because of legal issues that I alluded to, I cannot legally claim the old home since they belong to my three elder sisters due to them being of age when mom died.

But don’t worry about me. I’ll manage one way or another.

Part of me wants to give a detailed breakdown of how we got from Arizona to Arkansas since that was quite an adventure. Yet, I don’t want to make this journal too long like a couple of them, and I’m not sure if you folks are interested. If you are, let me know, and I’ll make a journal about it tomorrow. Otherwise, it’ll be some kind of random stuff, like how I began writing once more after taking a break to focus on the move.
