You'd think! But it's been like talking to a brick wall the entire time. It literally took them six months to finally say "ok we'll replace the computer" but I don't want a replacement, I want my money back.
As things stand right now, the guy in tech support I've been in contact with told me he's going to speak with his manager about this refund and I'll be contacted again by Monday at the earliest. So. Fingers crossed I can get this settled for good. I want to be able to work again.
Thank you very much! I need all the luck I can get with these buffoons.
No problem! I really hope it works and that guy can get it right for you!
I remember (ages ago—when tape decks were still a thing), I got this beautiful stereo at Best Buy (back when they were a decent company). It was a record player and tape deck—and you could record your records onto tape. It was a heck of a big investment at the time, too……but the tape decks (it had two) kept breaking. I kept taking it back to BB to get fixed (when they did that stuff), but it kept breaking. Eventually I had to give it up, because I was spending more fixing it than to buy a new one……I just wonder if the BB people weren’t fixing it right. So, in short, I totally understand the stress you’re going through on the fix-not fixed department……it’s not good for your health, either—not just for your pocketbook. @_@

I'm glad you were able to at least find some "normal work" to do while you get all of this taken care of. It sounds like a real mess--and of course nobody wants to offer a refund. I would think it would be clear that for as many times as you've had to take it in for the issue, they'd realize ITS A REAL PROBLEM. :/
Best of luck to you!
