No more Twitter/Facebook

We have made the decision to delete our Twitter Profile and Facebook pages.

The reasons behind this are rather two-fold:

First and foremost, we had no REAL use for either profiles and only had them as a means to advertise our services and our community projects. All of our news posts needed to be longer and better suited for BLOG style hosting - of which our BLOG is already hosted on a 3rd party server, so even if our site servers went offline - would can continue to keep people informed as to what is happening on our side.

Secondly, we were receiving threats and harassment from some rather immature people (namely on Twitter) over our agreement to have our Founder (Drako himself) use Twitter for daily cage/underwear checks. With that agreement, we changed all the settings on our Twitter profile to state that our profile and content (media) was "sensitive" - which according to Twitters TOS was required for accounts that post Adult Content/Porn.

Some of that harassment includes some unhinged individual trying to claim we are pedos due to this agreement - which was between CONSENTING ADULTS - to post pictures of ADULTS on our Twitter profile that was NSFW. We had been removing accounts/watchers that we could not confirm to be over 21 (because we have decided to go with the higher of the two standard ages for adults) and even placed such warnings on our profile on Twitter.

This included Twitter placing ALL our media behind a "Sensitive Media" warning that users had to "Agree" to view - and as such agree to Twitter's TOS regarding Sensitive Media and it's inclusion of NSFW content. (Changing our account to a "Senstive Media" account proactively changed so all "media" - photos and vidoes - were placed behind said warnings, including SFW things we posted prior to this change.)

Nothing we did violated any laws, and were covered under Twitter's TOS. However, we do agree that "hiding" the fact that "Sensitive Media" included NSFW content within their TOS (and not including the agreement to be 18+ directly in said warnings) was a poor decision on Twitter's part - yet is still fully legal, even if they did the bare minimum to meet that legal requirement. Yes, it was easy to click "View Content" and by doing so you were agreeing to Twitter's TOS about "Sensitive Media".

We also agree that we have zero control over the content those under the age of 18 will actively seek out and view - so we agree websites should do more to ensure children don't have easy access to NSFW content. We actively use DOB entries for our own adult websites, so children accessing said content would be lying under penalty of perjury to access it. We also agree that parents should ALWAYS monitor their children's actvities online so they don't have "easy" access to NSFW content.

Also, we all agree that the actual sickos who do actually participate in such illegal activities should always be reported to proper legal authorities - since there is a very special place in Hell for this sick freaks. Drako himself also agrees with this (since he is the one who penned this article).

As such, the claims are baseless - and the unhinged individual making these claims is only doing so because he was one of many accounts we had to stop watching (and ban from seeing our Tweets - along with him harassing other furries in EXACTLY the same manner). His claims that "authorites" are investigating are also baseless - and since we don't partake in such actions (because it's wrong) - there is no reason for such. Those agencies don't investigate what children LIE about to gain access to, and since NONE of the images ever posted included anyone under the age of 18 (Drako is 37) - there is nothing to investigate.

Since we agree other websites (like Twitter and Facebook) don't do enough to prevent minors from viewing NSFW content - and we were not using them for more than what we already post on our BLOG - we have decided to delete both our Twitter and FB profiles. We became aware of how easy it was for minors to access NSFW content without having to really read the Twitter TOS (and their lack of age requirement in the "Sensitive Media" warnings) due to this drama, which has only helped to encourage this decision.

However, if those warnings are in place - and minors still decide to view said content - then legally speaking, the websites did their job. It would now fall on the parents of said minors to monitor their children to ensure they were not viewing said content. It's not pedophillia if children can view said content - especially if it's behind a WARNING they had to click on to view. However, websites can - and should - do more to ensure that access isn't as easy as it is, than the "legally required minimum" of placing a warning before said content that only requires clicking some sort of "Agree" button to view.

There's a difference between children viewing content they shouldn't (and bypassing the WARNINGS of such to do so) and children being in such content. We do not support either, and we never will. However, because the laws regarding access to NSFW content are extremely lax - we must urge parents to MONITOR their children to ensure they are not viewing content they should not have access to. The laws only require a warning of such content - without any attempt to Age Verify users accessing said content.

With that in mind, and regarding the fact we were never actively using our Twitter and FB profiles - we have decided we do not need them and have therefore deleted them already.
