K9 Corps – I mentioned this project before, based off a very short-lived toyline that has a very similar backstory to the Road Rovers. About a scientist working to create a race of canine-sapien super soldiers. His 1st creation, Malice (Doberman Pinscher), ended up being the main antagonist and try to enslave humanity with his own canine army, while the scientist created a team of heroes to save the world. This team consists of Magnum (German Shepherd Dog), Tauros (Bulldog), Eclipse (Rottweiler), Rabid Fang (Bull Terrier), & Bulldozer (American Pitbull Terrier), and they seem to be more like commanders of an army rather than just a superhero team. So I've come up with a project that crossovers with the Road Rovers fanverse.

The K9 Corps project began some time after the Road Rovers came into being, ran by Dr. Davis Elliot, a former associate of Dr. Shepherd (The Master), to create canine super soldiers for the US Department of Defense, leading to Malice and his Marauder army, and Magnum's commando unit. The project and the conflict shortly after remained top secret from the general public until the Equal Species Amendment came into effect, for which the K9 Corps took advantage to create a more substantial force to fight Malice, and with government support. It grew quickly with canine recruits into the size of a corps, along with enough equipment for mechanized units, special forces detachments, a ninja school, and airborne support. Despite the decision to be an integrated unit to other races, only humans had joined to fill 30% of the force as trainers and logistics specialists, and then dropped to 15% percent once corps training was completed. And all other species prefer to join other elements of the Armed Forces. The Corps became semi-independent in operation, primarily against Malice while only called for the United States general service when war is declared.

One of my featured OCs is a 1st Lt. James Marrow, a human soldier formerly of the 7th Special Forces Group, now serving as a platoon commander in the K9 Corps. Decisive, quick-thinking, and leads from the front of the charge, he's proved capable of launching flanking attacks in battle and turning the tide quickly, earning the respect of his commanders and his canine soldiers. Magnum himself chose to have an extra infantry squad and a heavy weapons section attached to the platoon to increase effectiveness, and the unit was dubbed “Marrow's Marauders” as a moniker to World War 2's hero Frank Merrill and his “Marauders” in Asia. He's not quite out of place among canines, as many in his family had served in military & police K9 units prior to cano-sapiens becoming normal, though he has to regard drastic changes in commands to his troops. He's never met Dr. Elliot, had brief encounters with Bulldozer, Rabid Fang, & Eclipse, but has counseled with General Tauros & Colonel Magnum often in briefings.
