from what I know, you get to go on outings with your teammates which increases friendships and you get a souvenir at the end
you can also get a horse you can befriend and customise how it looks, it may sometimes help out in battle :3
there's also new scenes, such as celebrating a new member joining, and you tend to get more letters with gifts from the miis of miitopia
you also have more options on customising your miis such as new hairstyles and makeup :D
that's all I know of so far! I'm still new to the game but so far, it's been pretty interesting! ^w^
