Sorry for Being Spammy by LordDominic

Like it says in the title, sorry for all the uploads lately! I just have some serious doubts as to DeviantArt's continued survival (and I find using it to be very frustrating now so the more I can get done the better!) so I'm trying to archive my art here.

To all my followers here, thanks for putting up with me clogging up your inboxes!

To everyone else, sorry about clogging up the recent submissions.

Almost caught up over here...

How's everybody else doing lately?

Sorry for Being Spammy

I still have like, over 2000 pics and fics that need re-uploading but I'm still waiting to hear from the people who's characters they contain. Most of them still don't have Weasyl or FurAffinity accounts which makes communication extremely difficult.

You jumping ship entirely, or...? I won't deactivate my DA but it'll become very low priority. I tried to get my premium membership refunded but the help desk thing wouldn't submit, to no one's surprise. I recently found out about "Postybird" so I can use that to do the whole "run my DA on autopilot" thing, meaning the only premium perk left on Eclipse that's worth a damn is no longer relevant.

At any rate, I've got about 200-250 more things to cross-post and then I'll be caught up. After I get my gallery caught up here I'm thinking of starting a Fur Affinity page, nobody mains Weasyl so I need to find somewhere more popular... I was really opposed to the idea of using FA for a long time, but I don't really see any other viable options, and talking to a few people who use it has really improved my opinion of the site to the point where I'm willing to at least try it now.

I'm not deleting my dA either, but I'm staying away from it until the devs get their heads out of their asses. I don't trust the message system anymore. They need to prove they're worthy of my presence on their site again.

The message system on Eclipse is horrible, not to mention that it seems to be throttling the "anthro" and "furry" tags because they're now considered part of the "kinky" topic. What's the point of posting cute cartoon animal stuff there if it's considered porn there?

I have a few friends on DA I'd hate to lose contact with but using the site is more frustration than it's worth now. I pretty much only go on to reply to comments and delete activity notifications once a day or so, I hate browsing there now. What good am I doing there if I don't actually leave my notifications page ever anymore?

It's a shame FA has such a poor reputation (which they have definitely earned), because I feel like moving over there might be my only option, but I'm still not so sure about it myself, and a few of my friends told me they're never going back there so they won't be there if I do start using it.

It's put all artists in a difficult spot, because while there are many other art sites out there, almost none of them are anywhere near as broad in scope as deviantART once was, which will force people to divide and dilute their content across multiple niche sites.

That's what I loved about DA, it was accessible to anybody that wanted to share their art. And that's what I'm going to miss about it most of all--while I draw a lot of anthro stuff, my favorite subjects to browse were actually animal and nature photography, but there was just so much diverse content to look through! I met a lot of interesting people from a lot of different art styles and genres there. I'm going to miss that.

More than half of my artwork is Pokémon fan-art, but I also like drawing space-art occasionally. This is the problem all internet artists face right now. There are simply no websites right now that have the content diversity and massive user-base dA had, meaning literally millions of people are being forced to basically start over.
