I really like the layout and function of this site a lot better than...another site I use. But it's even harder for a writer to get a following here than it is there and it's definitely not easy there.

So for now, I won't be using the journal feature much. I do on the other site and I use it to post small pointers on writing. Nothing really major, just suggestions with the occasional "if you didn't know you have to do this a certain way, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you."

Best advice I ever saw on writing was this: when people give suggestions on how to write, listen to what they have to say. Chances are good that they're giving you advice to help you out. Seriously weigh what they have to say; Decide if it applies to how you work and (this is the most important part) either accept is or reject it without guilt. What works for one writer doesn't work for all writers.

So if there's interest in such a thing, message me and I'll consider it, but if not, my ego isn't hanging on people's response, especially here.
