End of Month Post - October 2019 by Blokfort

Sadly, I didn’t actually get that much work done this month. At the very beginning of the month, I was pretty ill with whatever was starting to float around at the time. The sickness changed shape and form over the span of about a week. Even after the worst of it, I was still coughing quite a lot.

I am quite pleased with what art I did finish though. There was a Halloween piece with 4 different characters in it, and a little bit of scenic perspective. I haven’t actually done anything like that before, so it was a surprise to see things just sort of work themselves out. Another piece I completed had a lot of Autumn trees in it, which is something I seem to struggle with. Autumn trees are tricky, because they have basically everything exposed. I’m not actually sure how to explain it very well, but they have a lot going on between the branches and the leaves.

I also did some work on a comic-thing. I’ve completed a second draft of it, and need to put in the finishing touches, but art still needs to be done as well.

Whew, as I’m writing this I’m actually suddenly very aware that I just do not have that much to talk about. I guess I’m more comfortable with clean line art, but other than that, the illness at the start of the month took up most of my time.
