Journal entry #1 Summer of standard by LostPlatformer

It's been over a year now since I found this artistic and expressive fandom that I've come to visualise and see that it's one I myself can express my ideas and love for character and narrative. But, there's something missing, a key piece, a identity and determination to get my self motivated creativity out from projects set.

After a year at my Uni and a whole load of techniques under my belt I wanted the summer of 2013 to be the start of this goal but I have continued to look at my pad without an idea, at least a small sketch that could be the start of something great like many others before around my age, but no... They say too much of something is bad, much like constantly sketching, just taking time to think about the next step forward hasn't drove me on. All I have is time, but not using it to my benefit has left me feeling wasted.

It's not all sad though as some talks about my second year has already sparked some creativity to come back for the 2nd year of Game Art. The only thing that worries me is how I could balance the two.

Sorry if the expression above isn't what you were expecting but I just wanted to write and give myself time to think. It's also the first journal I've wrote and I wanted to test it out. Hopefully next year I'll be sorted and off to a convention for the first time along with trying out some cos play (something I really liked to be part of, so creative.) Thanks to anyone who had read the journal.
