I'm totally devastated right now. Long time DEVO drummer, Alan Myers died Monday. The full story is below.

As a drummer/musician, I had many influences. One of the earliest and one that stood out was Alan Myers. Dubbed 'The Human Metronome', he kept a solid beat with sharp precision, almost robotic, but never lost his human quality, the 'soul' behind the playing. I loved him for that. He was quintessential in the molding of my own style. A pioneer of percussion, a unique approach and never duplicated. He was one of the absolute greats. My heart is very heavy from the loss. There will never be another like him. Rest In Peace......
