Super-Nova Supanova! by Xathoa

Well today I spend the day at SupaNova, a pop-culture festival.

It was a lot of fun, and it was my first time going. I went with my partner and his brother, and we took all day there, and quite enjoyed ourselves.

I saw a lot of cosplays, which, I really wanted to do as well. I didn't cosplay while there, but our going was rather last-minute, so we couldn't make something in time. But next time, I do really plan on it. *hinttowhatI'llbehint* I plan on going as the Maiden in Black who keeps the candles lit in the Nexus in Damon's Souls. Geez, I really liked that game. Anyway, when I do dress up as her, I doubt anyone will recognise me, but it'll still be fun. There were a few unique cosplays, and a few that seemed to have come from multiple dimensions all to the one thing. It was rather amusing.

I was spoiled. Plain and simple.

I was able to buy my partner a single fat-round fox plush, since his favorite animal happens to be a fox. But I got several copies of art, two mini Monster Hunter figurines (I kinda wanted more, but they were a random figurine in a box), 20 common Magic the Gathering cards, a Thunder Dragon Vanguard deck (we learned how to play there, and were interested in dabbling in the hobby), a Magic the Gathering booster pack (that admittedly had some weak cards), and yeah. I almost got a corset. But I plan on getting my corset from Corsets-au.com. Most of them were plastic bones anyway, which don't last as long. Anyway, off of the topic of clothing.

I near the end, after all of our looking, and shopping, we met some artists, book writers, and comic people!~ It was really interesting, as a semi-fellow artist.

I met and talked to a few artists who caught my eye and interest. Among them was Destinyblue, Melanie, Lach-Land, And quite a few others.

I asked them a few questions, and got some insight. We all have different methods, but we all have a passion for art.

It made me think... you know, I would love to be ina community of artists, just to talk together, mention techniques, and maybe even do collaborative work or a giant imagination session of drawing for all of us. I think that'd be wonderful, and interesting. But one thing at a time. I still have loads of practice.

I also got a few interests from two smaller comic companies!~ Maybe it can be a symbiotic relationship. I help them, and they'll help me. I wouldn't mind drawing small stories for them at all, especially since they were so enthusiastic about what they were doing!~ We'll see how things go. I might be able to work with my partner on comics to add to their comic collection books of small stories.

My partner will write, and I'll show the story.

I think that's be wonderful.

In any case, that was my SupaNova time. And I would love to go next year. Maybe even get a few more figurines and stuff. And posters. More pretty pictures for our wall! I know I could draw my own pictures for the wall, but there's something about seeing other's art that can be rather inspiring, especially if it's something you like.

So yeah, we got home late, and I'll be returning to all my work I need to do tomorrow.
