Kitten News!

I just wanted to update you all on Night Star, the little black kitten my friend and I rescued 2 weeks ago. I have been in touch with the rescue organization, and they tell me she is doing well! She eats on her own, is gaining weight and growing, and thriving. She was a little lonely for a while, being the only kitten her age in the foster home, but since it's spring they soon found other kittens to foster with her. She'll be at an adoptable age in a few weeks, when she'll be spayed and put up on their website for potential forever homes to see her. I'd like to try to see her one more time before she gets adopted, and I expect she will get swept up quickly with how tiny and cute she is. ^^

My friend's coworker (the one who originally found her and her sibling in a window well) found FOUR other kittens of the same litter, and they've all since found foster homes too! I am hoping that six kittens is all this female feral cat had this spring, but my friend's coworker is on the look out for more just in case. The next step is to get a spay/neuter van out to spay momma cat, so next spring she won't have anymore kittens that will end up either as coyote or fox food (happened to one of her litters a year or two ago apparently), or contributing to the already explosive feral cat population.

New Commission Items

In commission news, I've been working through my commissions to finish enough hours to open for more. It seems like a lot of you guys are rooting for smaller commission items though, and the cheapest thing on my list currently is a detailed portrait at $66 - $110. So I'm bringing icons back! They will still be $30 each, but they are in a new style that I like a lot better (and is easier on my hand). I made some samples that I'll upload soon.

Conventions

I won't be dealing at my local fur con this year, Rocky Mountain Fur Con, but will be attending just for fun for the first time ever! I have convention stock that is just sitting around collecting dust though, and since I won't be selling it this year I'd like to hold a sale online to clear it all. I have prints, ink and marker originals, and some painted originals to sell. I also have a REALLY gorgeous renaissance dress I'm planning on selling, a dark green and black velvet dress that has only been worn twice. I just need to photograph everything and make a nice sale post so prices photos are all organized and easy to browse.
