I'm a fan of the Fast & Furious franchise. I think this is the only franchise where it evolved from one thing to another and then another. From a decent Point Break remake to an overthetop action film series. Each movie from Fast Five has gotten more and more over the top. From fast cars to big heists to almost superhero like. And when I heard about the spin off from the main franchise itself. I wasn't fully excited. Because I don't think there should be one and the only reason why there is one is because Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson doesn't get alone with Vin Diesel and wants to prove that HE'S the reason whey the Fast & Furious franchise is successful. So, I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, but had a feeling that it'll be one of those cheesy overthetop action movies.

And it is. This movie is just pure dumb fun. It's almost like a superhero movie in a way. Two tough dudes going up against a cyber-enhanced super agent with explosions, fast chases, and tons of testosterone action. It's something that I'm sure many people have come to expect it. Not sure how this will fit in with the rest of the franchise, but I did really enjoyed it. Not sure if there'll be a sequel after this one. Which I'm fine if there won't be one. This feels like a mixture of a 80's and a 90's action movie. It's got the cheese of the 80's with the overthetop action of the 90's. If you enjoy movies like Commando and Face/Off. This is that type. I also like couple of the cameos.

Overall, if you love cheezy action movies of the 80's and the overthetop action movies of the 90's. You will enjoy this movie
