I was all set to write this yesterday, but then I got distracted, then the internet went down and after 10 minutes of waiting, I went to bed. I truly don't have a life without the internet.

The week went well, I went to the hospital in Wednesday, was operated on, brought enough stuff for the 3 to 5 day stay I was promised, and was released the next day. I am hoping this is good news.

The writing was good, I didn't write after coming out of the operation anesthesia has longer lasting effect then I remembered, but I wrote the next morning, and 2 chapters the next do, so it's as if I didn't miss any days.

Taking the line got Chapters 7 to 10, LRK's story progresses and is growing more in the 2nd draft than I expected.

I did not work on Blind Spot, a mix of having a friend over for the weekend, and just not feeling like writing on Sunday. Installing a movie screen and setting up more shelves might also have had a part in it (it was busy weekend).

But, as the consequence of joining https://www.inkshares.com/kindar-writer-and-reader after another writer recommended it, and explaining to my roommate how the way the went about forcing me to think up a pitch and then a logline just made it impossible me to write a story for them. In the process, I came of with a perfectly usable Pitch (Blade Runner meets Harry Potter) and then a perfectly valide logline (An ex con, who has seen the worst of humanity and vowed to never go that dark, turned PI must rescue a young girl kidnapped by a magical human trafficking ring to prevent her soul from being used as a power source for a magical construct.)

I realized that for the first time in my life, I have a story idea, without the actual story so I gave myself the challenge of writing an actual outline for this. Not just a few bullet points, like I normally do, but a chapter by chapter run down of what happens. It is not easy for a pantser like me, but I think that if I ever crack this nut, this is how it will happen. I've been looking for story structure information online but my Google-fu is weak if anyone has decent websites on story structure, let me know.

I have written a few things, I'm working with physical notecards, I find that being able to flip through them works better than scrolling on a screen. I have the few beginning ones, and the last chapter. And a handful of one or two-line descriptions of chapters happening randomly between that.

I am not rushing this. This is a 4th project when I am technically only supposed to have 3, so I work on it as I have time, between all the others.

And as yet another project, I started a podcast called "The Raw StoryTeller Podcast" the is going to be without edits, so don't expect it to be high quality. And I will talk about writing. My initial thought was to do them after each writing session, making them 5 minutes or so, and talk about a problem I encountered during that chapter, but it quickly became apparent that I'm a little too good for that since I have yet to encounter anything qualifying as a problem after 10 chapters. I did find things to talk about, and now I'm using this new story since I really do not know where I'm going with it, so I think it's more likely to give me problems. I'm going to try to record them once a week.

If you got to my website: http://thetigerwrites.com/ you can find the first 10 episodes there. I'm also going to see about uploading them here, and from now on I will be posting them to Patreon first. I'm thinking a week ahead of time, which might increase, since I will only post one podcast a week, even if I end up recording more than one. Advance Access for the podcast is at the 3$ level (It's a new Tier) so anyone supporting me below at 10$, but more than 3$ should go to their support and make sure they indicate they want this tier.

And that is all I can think of so, I'll see you on the next one.
