YO!

I'm gonna be opening up for commissions soon! The previous batch definitely took longer than anticipated (deja vu), so I'm yet again going to be lowering the amount I take on. My goal is to be open many times a year so I'm more available for folks to commission rather than once in a blue moon. I'll be opening for only 5 slots (no bonus commissions) on April 17th, around 5pm EST. There will be more details and information after this copypasta (INCLUDING A SPECIAL CONDITION):

-The journal will be posted with the link to the commission form. It will stay open for around 24 hours.
-The first 3 forms filled will be guaranteed a commission slot. The remaining 2 slots will be picked by me.
-I'll email those who got the slots to discuss ideas, prices, and other details, and then I'll send invoices and work on thumbnail sketches for commissioners' approval .
-The queue will be ordered by who gets that whole process done first, and I'll work down the queue in order.

Why are you going down to 5 slots?
As previously stated, I want to be available more times in a single year. Commission slots have been taking longer than I'd like, and its a huge liability if I misjudge the amount of time something takes when I have 10-20 slots as opposed to something smaller. Larger commission batches can take quite a long time when I have slavestreams as well. Plus, this opens up the opportunity for me to do quick themed batches every so often, which is an exciting prospect! Smaller batch = smaller time commitment, so I can experiment more often.

What about Bonus Commissions?
I'm saving Bonus Commissions as a thing I only do when I'm not taking on slavestreams. I usually take breaks from slavestreams during the summer and holidays, so that I have a more flexible work schedule for outings and the like. So, for this batch, I won't be taking on bonus commissions.

What is this special condition for this batch? Why dis?
For this batch, I'm only taking on commissions from folks who haven't commissioned me all of last year! If you commissioned me anywhere from the start of 2018, up until this current batch of slavestreams, I won't accept your form for this batch. I just want to vary things up, and give new folks a shot. Don't worry, I'll likely only do this once a year to shake things up. The following batches this year won't have this limitation.

What if I was featured in a commission I didn't pay for?
That is certainly a grey area! I'll have a list of folks, but I'm obviously not going to inquire upon every single commission I worked on the past year to find out if the other party paid for it as well. I'll likely prioritize folks who haven't gotten any art from me last year. If you're unsure, you can certainly still submit a form! Worst I can do is just not accept it, so you'll be fine.

Are prices going to stay the same?
Good question that has nothing to do with what I was talking about previously! Prices are going to be raised after this batch. I have not yet decided upon details, but I will post information about that later. Slavestream prices will stay the same, but slot prices will increase.
