Announcement [I am no longer taking Commissions] by pixelyteskunk

Hey again I just want to say thank you to everyone for their continued support for me and my art it means so much to me. As of today I would like to announce I am no longer accepting custom commissions of any kind, I’m sorry as it may disappoint a few of you. As for current orders that have been discussed, accepted and placed, I will be working on finishing these and sending them your way so don’t worry. At this point you’re most likely asking why I would do this and the reason is commission work no longer makes me feel happy, I am not making enough for an hour of work to support myself off on them and the ideas I am drawing aren’t my own. I want to move on from commissions and be happier with my art and where it is going. I will still be making and selling adopts and YCHs. I want to focus on my Youtube channel, posting 2 videos a week at least, including tutorials, speedpaints and animations. I also really want to write these comics, it’s always been my dream to tell stories through characters I create and I’m taking the risk and trying to focus just on it. Commission work will be slow because of this but please understand I will be trying my best. I know it’s a lot to ask but I need every bit of support in this endeavor that I can get and there are so many ways you can do this, some are free.

-Subscribe to my YouTube
It seems simple enough but it really means the world. Channels grow through subscribers, comments and likes.

-Follow my Twich
I will be streaming almost everyday. Could be art, could be games, either way I’d love to see you over there. I got affiliate the other day as well so I can start taking subscriptions too. https://www.twitch.tv/pixelyteart
-Pledge to my Patreon
Just 1 USD grants you access to my private discord channel, early videos and a cool sticker every month! Vote on fanart polls and find some really need freebees. https://www.patreon.com/Pixelyte

I just don’t think working like this is the best for me I want to pursue something bigger. I want to help artists and people out. The comic is going to be about a group of college kids who don’t always make the best decisions in life but always kinda find a way to see the bright side of things. I’m so excited for it.

Again thank you all so much, it’s been a pleasure working with you! <3

Super wish you the best. It is good to have a time away from commissions to work on your own content for sure. It gets so stiffling not being able to draw what you want to draw.

Also, comics are pretty good to work on if you have Patreon and Ko-fi for people to be able to support them. They're pretty good to work with. Make sure to have a link to your support places like that in every post for your Comics. Might be good to have a monthly funding for your comic to have an extra page in the month if maybe you'd do like 1-2 pages a month on average then boost to 3 for the funding. Saw a few artists do comics that way (Although they also did super WIP pre-sketches of all the pages first so they knew how many pages they would have).
