multitasking by foxboyprower

It feels like life is so full of stuff it's driven our culture to have an insatiable appetite for doing stuff. I don't think this is a bad thing. Doing stuff is a good thing. But there is so much to do and so apparently little time to do it, that multitasking becomes a part of everyday life. This is the case with myself at least. I can't seem to stick to doing just one thing, but usually have 2 or more things going on. This doesn't turn out particularly productive and I could probably achieve better and more satisfying results if I simply focused on one thing at a time. A mix of my personal habits and our fast culture are factors in this, but I shouldn't give up because of obstacles like that.

One of the prevailing feelings in my life is that I always have to be doing something. If I get bored, I die. While that's not true, it would appear that I believe it judging by my behavior. Reading and writing are a couple of things I care about. But quite frankly, they can be pretty boring. While engaging as it is, patience and focus is required, and that seems like something society isn't quite investing in. Has anyone else noticed this trend in their own behavior or in others?

Far too many times have I experienced the same thing. I haven't been able to get into my 3d design or writing lately because I lack the focus and patience needed to do so. Oddly however I'm able to sit down and read something for quite some time but I just can't seem to get into much of anything lately.

ah that sucks. The only multitasking I'm good with is watching videos and playing video games.

Lately I haven't been able to do much other than watch vids and chat. Although I'm hoping to add some more 3d designing and writing my story to that list
