Ask Me Anything (2018: Re-upload) by Bartan

Since I didn't get any questions so far, I was honestly just going to leave it at that and not do the AMA on this year's meta. But I understand people are busy and they have lives and such, let alone some new watchers come from time to time, so I'm uploading this again.

Any and all questions will be answered during it (along with the names of those who asked, if they wish. Just speak up/note me if you don't want your name to be mentioned). There's no limit to the amount of questions that can be asked, same with subject matter. Though do note that I don't usually hold back here, so if you're going to ask something about politics, for example, prepare to hurt. But the more light-hearted/silly questions are more fun.

Alright, back to work. Deadline for such a thing will likely be around November 25th (Does sound like quite a ways away, but that's the Sunday after this coming one!). Get them out!

For Christmastime, what is you favorite christmas song of all time?
What do you like about the holiday season/gets you into the season of the holidays?
How do you spend your Hannukah or Christmas day?

^^; Quite a bit past the deadline here, but I'll answer them regardless (Deadline was so they would be in the written piece: Avalanche)

Favorite Christmas song? Oof... That's actually a toughy. My very specific 'Christmas Song' out of the classics (Oh Christmas Tree, Jingle Bells, Walking/Winter Wonderland, etc, would be classics) I'd have to go with Carol of the Bells. But if we're going with everything that's Christmas related/about 'Christmas'... Hmm... I'd have to at least mention two:
N'Sync - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays (As cheesy as it sounds, let alone for pop music, it was a CD one of my sisters got during one of our best Xmas'. It still reminds me of that time)
Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers - Once Upon A Christmas (The entire album). I know this one is slightly cheating, but it does remind me when we used to do our decorating/Xmas cooking/etc. Rarely my type of music to listen to, but it does hold a good place in my memory.

What do I like about the Holiday season? I know this is going to sound weird, but the cold. I loooooove the cold, the winter, the snow and the heat of a warm fire. I feel like I can sleep better, be more comfortable, and not have to deal with all the Pains that comes with Summer. I honestly wish I could live further up north when 'summer' lasts all of 10 minutes.

How do I spend my Hannukah/Christmas Day? This... Is going to sound depressing, but I've never really thought of Christmas as anything more than just another day for the past... 20 years or so? I'm not religious in any way, I don't enjoy visiting friends or family that much, and the holiday(s) are so commercialized that I just can't seem understand their purpose. Perhaps I'm just viewing it in a more misanthropic point of view, but I honestly don't do anything differently on the holidays. We don't even make a turkey anymore (Thanksgiving being in October is STILL to close together in the year). Again, I know it sounds like a downer, but I've never felt anything special about the holidays, or any holiday for that matter.

      What about you?

Didn't realize the deadline was so soon. I didn't know that one either, I thought it was another Q&A. I'll have to look closely at dates next time.

My favorite Christmas song from the past use to be "There's no place like home" by Glen Campbell or "That Holiday Feeling" by Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme. But in 2018 it would have to be "Silver and Gold" by Mree (very relaxing if you listen to it, especially pitched -1).

Same believe it or not. It was so close to being a winter Christmas, but it ended up being sunny like the previous years before it (The last time it snowed over near Christmas was back in 2011/2012. Since then we haven't been able to get a snowstorm near Christmas time. I love winter time, but my second older brother loves summertime. I personally don't as I would have to shave my entire body just to stay cool.

That's sad. For me really it depends on how the day is spent. Most of the time we tend to have Christmas parties the day before Christmas. So we had a few relatives come over and have a nice large Christmas dinner in the dining room. And enjoy the meals cooked by my mom. <3

There you go. How my family spends our holidays during December (since my birthday is in the same month as Christmas.)
