Now that I have a fully functioning computer I've been able to make serious progress on a long term project of mine. It is a science fiction themed animated movie on which I have been working intently for the past year, although I've been hindered by my previously limited computing power. Since then I have been busy trying to write a more coherent script while designing characters, environments, spacecraft, and all that other good stuff.
The core ideas and themes for my story are fairly old, having come to me between the ages of 9 and 10. Over the years I've had a fair amount of time to revise and rebuild this "universe' of mine but the primary ideas have remained the same: to create a strange and unique story which entirely lacks human characters or the influence of human cultures. I want to stray as far as possible from the conception of the ordinary and show the bizarre side of this vast cosmos of which we know so little.
I'm currently developing a website for this project under the title "Limbdisk". It should be up within the next week or so. I'll be uploading all major progress to this site as a way to stay motivated and get my designs "out there". You'll also be able to catch my updates here on Weasyl and on DeviantArt.
