Giving up... by sinisternoodles

So, about sketchtober.... I really don’t think I’ll be continuing it. It was super fun! Though I don’t really have all the time in the world and unfortunately sketchtober/goretober is gonna be cancelled for me.

I just get too busy with other stuff. I don’t have all the time in the world. But heh...I hope you’re not too disappointed.

    Gave up*

    • Link

Yeah....I just don't have the time for it...

Lol same. I gave up goretober

  • Link

That's fine. At least you gave it a try and found out whether you wanted to/could do it.

    • Link

Yeah, it was fun though! I just don't think it could fit in anywhere on my schedule.

  • Link

It’s alright. At least you can take a break from drawing too much for Sketchtober

    • Link

Yeah, it's not drawing too much I'm worried about. I just forget days and procrastinate and end up spamming everything.

I gave up before I started....

    All good.

I have NEVER been able to finish a goretober. It's actually really bad to force a finished drawing out every day. It can hurt your hand and arm.
I also don't enjoy every theme of each day, and usually only pick out my favorites since I can't draw every day. Although I've resigned myself
to ALways Halloween all year, so I didn't participate this month.

Yeah, that was another thing. I don’t like all the prompts, I thought it would help with art block, but it really didn’t do anything tbh. I can’t do anything super creative with the prompts given and it got boring very easily. I was excited about it though and I might do some of the prompts that stand out and seem interesting to me.

And it does hurt my hand and arm as well. I don’t usually get straight on the drawing either, I have a bunch of different sketches and I go with the one I like, and having to do that everyday gets exhausting. Not to mention if I miss a few days I’ll have to spam it all and I get nervous about that. I don’t want people to get mad or somethin’.

I think the only kind of spam people don't like are YCH/Adopt/Sales spam in their inbox. I never hear people complain about "too much art" unless someone's just moving into a site with hundreds of pieces.

        • Link

Yeah, that’s true. I honestly don’t really like it. I’d rather that they just put a few recent pieces.

When I move in, I'll upload about 3 a day instead of all at once. Doing it that way will solve a good amount of problems.
            1. My art gets saved to an extra gallery
            2. It will help new people find me on this new art site if I upload a bit a day
            3. It won't mega spam everyone watching me, and therefor KEEP my new watchers on a new artsite

I do this for when I have a lot of art stocked up, too, because sometimes I get a good burst of drawing done in a day or two. I'm able to post new stuff over time and reach more new eye than if I only posted on the first day. One time I ended up with a stockpile of art that let me post for an entire two weeks without having to draw so I could take a break. I make sure by December 31st All of it gets posted so I start new on the next year, though.

I never participated anything during October because I'm a lazy ass and it feels like a chore for me to draw something everyday if I did participate in inktober/goretober/sketchtober etc. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    • Link

Yeah, kinda does. I draw a lot but most of it is stupid stuff and it gets really tough when I have to try to keep up the same quality stuff(it’s not quality but I try my hardest)

    Concerning title is concerning
