Where to start?

Denfur was our best con ever. I am proud of Mao for how well she is running our business, and I am proud of Treble and crew for how damn well run that con was. It's not our first time pulling a profit on an out of state con but it was our biggest gross ever and that feels validating, and like we are moving in the right direction.

I am probably going to be looking for a new day job after the wedding. I simply don't derive pleasure from it, and though my benefits are pretty darn good after fifteen years, the raises are beginning to badly lag behind my experience and position in life. I'm not going full time artist any time soon - we simply can't afford it - but hopefully with a better paying position, more interesting opportunities will present themselves in the future.

I also had a revelation that I haven't done any personal art this year, so I am going to be starting a Shiarra comic. Not THE Shiarra comic, but A Shiarra comic, which I will do a page of between each commission for the next few weeks. Hopefully it will help me get reengaged (preview: it already is). I'm doing it in a halfway-style, somewhere between colored sketch and my full illustrations. The first page was a blast and I hope folks like it.
