Had a rather bad day yesterday.

Came home to find the lights out and a non-payment note from the electric company.

Had to use the manual release to get my car out of the garage and drove down to the LIHEAP energy assistance folks, only to find out I had needed to fill out forms that they didn't mention last week, when I had taken the disconnect notice over and gotten assurances that they'd take care of things...

So I had to dash around in 95° heat in a car with broken air conditioning and get my barber (an old friend) to write a note certifying how I'd been paying the bills...By the time I finally left the LIHEAP office, I was actively weeping.

Lights finally on at 5PM. Fortunately, my fridge is well insulated, so my insulin didn't spoil.

I spent the evening with severe stomach pains and had to take two Xanax to get to sleep.
